Welcome to the end of your Wednesday and miraculously my 2nd post in a month! Again, going totally random here....

Had a fabulous time in N'awlins!!! Post on that plus our outcome to come in a separate post:)
I'm becoming a total Pinterest addict!!! My user name is sweetmagtea if you'd like to follow me. I'd love to follow any of my readers (those of you left), so please connect or comment if you have a profile.
I started classes tonight for this semester. And here we go again . . .
I'm seriously considering signing up for Financial Peace University. I've heard great things about it. Has anyone taken it and have any advice or feedback? I've already found some cute cash envelopes via a great blog called A Bowl Full of Lemons.
If you haven't watched this week's episode of Glee, watch it immediately! It is totally funny and sweet! Can't wait for next week's MJ episode!

Can't believe it's been that long since I've posted. Oh well, life flies when you are having fun!

So, here's some other random thoughts and news that are crowding my mind:

Literally just discovered Pinterest this week. OMG! Heaven! Still don't have my invite yet, so I can't pin, but I can't wait!
I'm heading to New Orleans this week to co-present a paper that I wrote for school in an international competition. My co-authors and I are 1 of six finalists. So we work a bit, then we will party! I'm a NOLA virgin, so I'm super excited!
Words with Friends...nifty!
Vera Bradley stores are having a super sale...I snagged a stadium blanket, a notebook, and a new bag for school.
No-No - has anyone tried it? Is it worth it?

I think that's my randomness for now. I must get ready for brunch with my friend, K. Yay!

In the meantime, I hope the new year has started well for everyone and brings many blessings for each of you!! Happy 2012!!!

Splendid, Just Splendid!

I saw The King's Speech last night and in the words of the film, it was "SPLENDID"! I don't normally get to see Oscar nominated movies prior to Oscar night, but it will be fun to watch this year and have a movie to root for.

Of course, it will be interesting to see all of the fashion.

Today has been a lazy day trying to recover from a sinus infection and I still have a splitting headache. Tomorrow will be a study day - oh yes, haven't shared some of my news over the past year AND one of the major reasons I've been absent. I am currently in my second semester of grad school getting my MBA. I LOVE it - it's such a refreshing and stimulating break from my normal work routine. Since midterms are in a week and a half, the next several days will be study overload, so bear with me if I'm a little more silent. I will be back this time, though!

Happy 2010!!! I hope everyone had a great holiday! I'm looking forward to fabulous things for 2010!!!

Here's what I've been up to the past few months....

1. Work - Well, our busy season is finally over and I can breath a sigh of relief. Lots of late nights and lots of long days. Now it's just a little bit slower till around August. I'm very thankful to have a job though.

2. A Sprained Ankle - Fell down the stairs, sprained my ankle, on crutches for about a week, then physical therapy. Getting better:)

3. Facebook - What a time sucker! Yes, I am an addict of Mafia Wars.

4. eBay - I spent a lot of time doing Christmas shopping and selling some of my purses. :D

5. The Best Excuse of All! - Meet my sweet new baby, Georgia Mae! I adopted her on Halloween from Carolina Poodle Rescue (http://www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/). She's a 10 year old yorkiepoo and has a few health issues but I can't imagine life without my girl.

Did you know that Firefly has expanded their collection? Much to my pleasant surprise, I found the following new tea flavors at my local ABC store yesterday while picking up some margarita mix: mint, raspberry, lemon, and peach. I picked up the mint. Baby 19 is due to arrive around March 18, 2010! Happy Monday dahlings!

I apologize that my posts have been reduced to Bachelorette Mondays and Wednesday Wisdom. My work life has mostly consumed me. It's our busy season (meaning through the rest of the year), but I will try and reach out from underneath the pile of paperwork that I'm editing and courses that I'm writing to give y'all an update.

So let's see, where shall I start...

Oh, for a nanosecond, I actually was close to having a date. But that fell apart pretty quickly. Let's just say he ain't worthy of Bachelorette Mondays. Oh, well. My friend says that "rejection is God's protection". He didn't actually reject me though, but it's still a great saying. Anyways, it did wonders to reinforce my confidence that God's bringing me the right person for me and I'm ok until that happens:)

I've been feeling kinda schlumpadinka lately. I think I get that way this time of year. I see the new sleek fall styles coming out that I can't wear yet because I live in North Carolina and it's still August and in NC that means hot as blazes. Although my office is freezing, so my clothing can get a little bipolar at times. Back to being a schlumpadinka. I kinda want to do a mini-makeover, but I'm not really sure what to do. I usually start with my hair, but I can't find a style that I just love that would work for me. What do you usually do when you get in a rut? How do you get that fantastic preppy chic back in gear?

One of the things that I got to do at work this past work was buy supplies for a bunch of new employees who started last week. I have to tell you there is nothing more fun than to go supply shopping at Staples at back to school time and spend several hundred dollars and not have to pay for it.

I've been on a cleaning/organizing kick lately. Let's see, the garage is done. So are my kitchen cabinets, pantry, refrigerator, coat closet, bathroom cabinets...and all of my purses! I've got two tubs of purses that I will be posting on ebay soon...lots of veras and a few kate spades. I'll let y'all know as soon as I get them up and running. This is my first time selling on ebay...any tips from you experts out there?

I've also been cleaning my DVR out - i.e. catching up on all the things I've taped. I figured I better get it caught up now before the fall season starts. There are so many new things I can't wait to try and of course my old favorites...but that's another post.

AND....It's FINALLY football season. My Pack boys start this Thursday. The Panthers play the same night. Oh, how great is life!

Saturday night I hosted game night for a bunch of friends. We had a blast! We played Apples to Apples, Dominoes, and Trivial Pursuit. Half of our group has severe dietary limitations, including me, so it was tough to figure out a menu, but I'm pretty pleased with what I figured out and it went over pretty well. We had a baked potato bar with a salad and apple berry salsa for dessert. It was super easy to pull together and relatively cheap too. I've posted the recipe for the apple berry salsa below. I've taken this to several parties and I never get to bring any home because it's such a hit. If I have time, I make the cinnamon tortilla chips but if not I usually just buy something similar in the store.

Well, I'm going to sign off to do my devotion and sweet slumber. It just started raining and there is nothing better than falling asleep to the sound of rain.

Apple Berry Salsa with Cinnamon Chips

Cinnamon Chips:
4 (7-inch) flour tortillas
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Salsa:
2 medium Granny Smith apples
1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 kiwi fruit, peeled and chopped
1 small orange
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple jelly

Heat oven to 400 degrees F.For cinnamon chips, lightly spray tortillas with water. Combine sugar and cinnamon in flour/sugar shaker; sprinkle over tortillas. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges; place in single layer on round baking stone. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp. Remove to cooling rack; cool completely.

For salsa, peel, core, and slice apples. Cut apples into quarters; chop with food chopper. Slice strawberries and chop kiwi. Place fruit in 1 quart bowl. Zest orange and juice. Add orange zest, orange juice, brown sugar and apple jelly to fruit mixture, mix gently.Serve with cinnamon chips.

I think this would be a great quote to place in a baby's nursery.

Scary Morning and Some Gratitude

I had a scary few moments this morning when my vision started getting blurry and wouldn't clear up. I know this is scary in general, but for me that fear is compounded by the fact that I only have one good eye. Thoughts of losing my independence started flashing through my head. I was able to quickly get in with the eye doctor and it is fortunately just some dry patches on my cornea which can be treated with artificial tears. Phew!

In light of the mornings events, I am so grateful for my vision, my independence, and my wonderful friends who are willing to step up and help when I need them!

A First

So I went to dinner with Clay's mommy the other night, just a quick bite at a casual sandwich shop. We got there about 30 minutes before closing and were the only ones there. Clay's mommy and I were being silly and joking with the waiter/cashier - a nice young gentleman (not necessarily my type, though). We had our dinner and left at closing time. So I head back to my car (which was on the opposite of the building of Clay's mommy's car). Our waiter was out by my car smoking a cigarette. The conversation followed like this:

Waiter: "So do you have a boyfriend?"
Me: "Not exactly."
Waiter(what I hear): "Yeah, I'm married and lucky."
Me: "Well good for you!"
Waiter: "Yeah, my wife is such a %itch."
Me: Some kind of mumbling as I'm comprehending that he really said "Yeah, I'm married and looking."
Waiter: "So would you want to get together sometime?"
Me: "No, thanks. I'm not that kind of girl."
Waiter: "OK, whatever." as he walks away.

And that, my ladies, is the first time I was hit on by a married man!

Why is it that salespeople feel the need to ask you personal questions that have no relation to what they are trying to sell you?

Case in point: Tonight I stopped by my local Clinique counter to pick up some foundation and eyeshadow. Wasn't sure what color eyeshadow I wanted, so I asked her to try a couple on me. As she's putting it on, she asks the typical upsell questions and chit chat questions. These I can put up with because I figure she has to do her job, but then she asks me if I pluck my eyebrows or get them waxed. Is it just me, or is that completely inappropriate? I mean, I know I'm a little overdue on getting them done, but I'm not a caveman yet;P This has happened to me before, but I don't understand what that has to do with me buying makeup....Insight, y'all?

Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i". "God, "u" and "i" dance." God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life Once again, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life.

Acting Out Your Faith

ROMANS 12:9-21

If your work is motivated by love, performed in Jesus' name, and exalting to God, you will find yourself enthusiastic and energized by it. God sends opportunities every day to positively impact lives around you. How pleased He is to see your faith shine as you help people. Your "service" may simply be a pleasant smile, an encouraging word, or a listening ear. In different situations, God may ask you to sacrifice your time or give generously of your resources. The love God gives you for others will prompt you to make time for them and not count the cost. As you pour yourself into loving them, you'll discover a sense of fulfillment and joy. Your service should always to be done "in Jesus' name." This means whatever you do should be in harmony with God's revealed will and does not contradict Scripture. Serving in Jesus' name also means that you are acting in submission to His authority - that is, doing things in His way and time. To live out your faith is to depend upon the Holy Spirit's power. Only by yielding to His control can your work yield real spiritual fruit. People will know your faith is real when your actions exalt God and not yourself. As ambassadors of Christ, we must serve with excellence so that God receives the glory He deserves. Whatever success you experience belongs to God, whose Spirit is working through you - you have no reason to boast. Watch for God's signals and be ready to act with an eagerness to live out your faith. The world is watching!

A friend of mine sent me this devotional:

I was sitting at the drive-through window at McDonald's this weekend (ok, I eat out a lot). I did the usual thing; I drove up to the menu and ordered. I proceeded to the first window and paid, then drove to the second window and waited for the order. After sitting there for a few minutes, the clerk slid back the window and asked, "Will you please pull over to the side; your order is not ready" I was a little upset even impatient, but I pulled over and waited. I thought, "How come other folks ordered and drove straight through and I have to wait." I waited for another two or three minutes. It seemed like hours before the clerk finally ran out, tapped on the window, and handed me the order. Of course I asked, "Hey, what took so long?" She replied. "You wanted the Special Sauce, which meant it had to be especially made for that sandwich, it doesn't usually come with that one.

This scene is a reflection of our prayer life. We make our request to the Lord. Our menu is His Word, where He has listed promise after promise. We stand before Him and request and plead and, sometimes, even beg. We go to the first window and pay, sometimes with fervent prayer, sometimes with prolonged suffering, sometimes with obedience, and sometimes not at all. We then move to the second window and wait for our order. If God doesn't answer within a few minutes, we become upset. You know the phrase, "Jesus, it's 5:00 p.m. Friday; I prayed to You yesterday, and You still haven't answered. I can't wait much longer." Why is it taking Him So long? I've seen people drive up before me and they received their orders right away! We even go so far as to tap on the window and ask if He has forgotten our order. We become impatient. We become upset. We become downright mad. Lord I asked for a mate ten days ago and I don't see him/her anywhere. Lord, I've been asking for a new job for two years; others have passed me by. I've been waiting on a financial blessing for ten years and I still have more months than money. Where are You and why haven't You blessed me? And just when you think He is giving you the answer, He pulls back the royal curtain of Eternity, and states, "Please pull over to the side and wait a while longer." This once frustrated me to no end, made me mad, made me want to give up, made me want to holler; that is, until the clerk brought out my sandwich. Then, the revelation became clear. Do you know why the Lord has put you on the side? Do you know why He has put you through more this time than ever? Do you know why it seems as though He has not heard you and He does not care? Do you know why it seems like you have had more tears, more pains, and more struggling this time? Because this blessing is a Special Sauce blessing! This is an Overflowing, Pressed-Down, Shaken Together, Blessing! You made a Special Order and God has been putting together a Special Sauce Blessing for you and He has to prepare it for you! That mate you wanted?He's putting together a Special Sauce! That job you wanted? He's putting together a Special Sauce! That financial blessing? He's putting together a Special Sauce! Ok, I'm going to soapbox slightly for a few minutes....

Topic #1 - SC's "disappearing" governor - is it really right for an elected official to be out of touch with the 2nd in command of the state? I have no problem with the man hiking, but he's seems to created more of publicity nightmare for himself than need be...what's really going on?

Topic #2 - Jon and Kate - Tonight's episode was the last one that I'm going to watch. The whole situation breaks my heart and I can not support watching the show anymore. I hate that they keep showcasing the hurts of this family, whether it is by the choice of the family or not. I hate the fact that ratings and scandal mean more in our society than the wellbeing of children and the family unit.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 45 - This is my daily facial moisturizer. My dermatologist recommended it to me. I love it because it's not so heavy and greasy, but it moisturizes just the right amount. I've been through a ton of moisturizers in my time and this is by far the best! Tip: They carry a 3 pack of this at BJ's for just a tad more than the price of 1 at a regular drug store.

Trader Joe's - How great is this place? Great prices! Healthy foods! Can you get any better? I first went to Trader Joe's to get 2 Buck Chuck (which I love), then I discovered my absolute favorite snack - edamame hummus. Ahhhhh, I eat this stuff with a spoon, although it's also really great with triscuits. Trader Joe's stepped up a level in my book this weekend when I discovered that they had eggless mayo and ranch dressing (yeah, i know, i still owe you the allergy post).

Naturalizer Black/White Giraffe Heels - OMG! How fabulous are these? I about died when I saw them. And the sweet part? They are comfy! They just make me happy when I wear them:)

So my toilet kept running tonight. After further inspection, I realized that one of the levers was broken. Of course, this happens at 11pm. So, in a moment of brilliance, I realized that I could turn off the water valve and not have to worry about it until tomorrow. To whom do I owe my moment of brilliance? The gentlemen of This Old House (post Bob Villa) who I had to watch for years on Sunday mornings with my Daddy. Now I just have to channel them to fix it. I think a trip to Lowe's will be in store tomorrow.

I have developed a lot of new favorites over the past few months, so I will be sharing these over the next several weeks.

So without further adieu, here are this week's three fabulous things!

NCIS - OMG! I am so addicted to this show! USA shows at least three episodes every day and I DVR every single one of them. I'm getting all caught up on past seasons this way. I can't go to bed unless I've seen at least one NCIS episode. Sad, yes, I know...

my new BlackBerry - It wasn't long ago where I talked about being so excited about getting a Palm Centro. Without going into the gory details and using expletives, let's just say that the end of the story is: I had three Centros that broke in the same place within a total of 10 months. Refusing to go through that again, I did some major fighti...err, I mean negotiating with Sprint (they are a whole other story of hellatiousness), I victoriously ended up with my new baby, my Blackberry Curve. Can we say "LOVE IT"? I would be so lost without it.

Frosty Floats from Wendy's - ok, well this isn't exactly new, but with all of my newly developed allergies (more on that in a later post), this a new favorite! Yum, yum, sugary sweetness and no hives!

Last weekend was our Relay for Life. The event itself was a huge success - setup and breakdown were a nightmare though. Here are a few pics. We grossed over $64,000 and still have money coming in. Not our goal, but not bad considering the economy. I'm proud of the work we did, but I'm so relieved it's over, though. I feel like I'm entering a new phase where I have all this free time and new energy to allow God to bring something new into my life. Can't wait to see what's in store!

Hi!
I just wanted to drop a note to say hi. I know that there are a few of you out there still reading because I've had some sweet notes checking on me and I really appreciate it!

I'm doing alright. My emotions have leveled off - thank you prescription drugs! I've had some allergic reactions since and just discovered that I'm allergic to chocolate and chicken - among other things. Just shoot me now!

Soo....I've gotten a new body post-surgery and it's just taking some time to get used to it. But other than that, I'm in a really good place.

I've got lots to share, but Relay for Life is this Friday, so I'm just a tad busy with that:) After I've recovered from that, I plan to be back to posting bunches more and can't wait to get caught up on your posts, as well.

Just When You Need Him...

So I'll start this off by saying that I'm going through a really tough time right now emotionally. I do not say that for pity, but rather because I want to share with you my ongoing amazement at how God reveals himself just when you need him. My constant prayer through my tears and frustrations has been "Please give me peace while your plans for me are unfolding." And so many times he has shown me that peace and grace to remind me that he is still here and loving me. Just when I need something or someone to talk to, it seems like the phone rings almost immediately to answer that need. I am so grateful for those on the other end of the phone, but I am even more grateful for the One who brought them to me. There are no coincidences when God is in control. In no way does that mean that everything is hunky dory and even though I'm still having a hard time understanding why I'm at where I am right now, I know that eventually everything will be better and life will be back to norm. Praise the Lord!

Well, not really, but it's the best way I could pay tribute to Paul Harvey, who passed away today...I always loved hearing his voice and his stories.

Getting back on my feet after the surgery has been interesting to say the least...I was doing really great, then hit a couple of roadblocks, and am finally maybe starting down the road to great again maybe (sense the hesitation there?). So here's the scoop...physically, I'm healing pretty much as I was told I was going to, although I probably push it more that I should at some points. Emotionally, it's been a completely different story and has been a much rougher road...I wish I had known that I would get so whacked out...It's most likely a side effect of the anesthesia and I'm doing much better now than I was a week ago, but geez - that crying at the drop of a hat thing isn't for the birds! Apparently, though, as I've been told umpteen times - you just had surgery and everybody's body reacts in different ways. Seriously, you mean I just had a body part removed? Is that what those four incisions are for? Damn! I thought I'd scratched myself in my sleep.

Anyways...that's the rest of the story on why I've been MIA for a while...

In other news, I will be visiting Raleigh for about an extended time very soon and would love to meet a few of you Triangle girls, if anyone is interested.

Not sure when I'll be back to regular posts, but I promise I will make up for the lack of men on your Mondays ;) I've been trying to keep up on my blog reading too, but that's a bit behind as well - so if I haven't commented, it's not that I don't care...

I hope you all are doing well and for those of you in the southeast, be safe in our upcoming snow event!

I found out today that my surgery is going to be on the 17th. I'm so glad to finally have a date! Since I've been so exhausted lately and I've got a fair amount to do before I'm out of commission for a little while, I'm going to take a blogging break until I come out of my pain medicine stupor:) If I get a chance, I'll schedule a few Bachelorette Mondays for while I'm away. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Here's a quick recap of my week - western style:

The Good!

A mani/pedi yesterday! I have not had one in months....oh my feet and my pink toes love me so much right now. Even better, I got to go with get it with Tyler's Mommy so we could catchup - so much fun!

I FOUND A SHOWER CURTAIN! This just makes my year! Y'all know I have been searching high and low for this for a while. Low and behold - where do I find it? POTTERY BARN! It is so stinking cute! They don't even have the shower curtain online (which is why I had never seen it before), but here's a pic of the matching bedding - and it's organic:)

I won my first eBay auction on a very classic Kate Spade purse!
I visited an awesome new church this week! After the whole Pairs and Spares incident, it kinda woke me up to how unhappy I was with certain aspects of my old church, but I kept brushing them over instead of doing something about them. I realized how spiritually malnourished I was and how much I needed to do something about that. Let me be clear - I am not leaving only because of the Pairs and Spares thing (I'm not that shallow), but being mad about that was an awakening of things that had been going on for years.

The Bad

My Pack boys lost to UNC yesterday! Bright side - because lately being a Wolfpack fan means looking for those in things other than wins - the team had moments of decency against a tough, if not overrated, team. BTW, ABC/ESPN announcers - I fully understand it is Superbowl weekend and I appreciate that like most Americans - however, keeping the "theme" of football and trying to explain bball in terms of touchdowns and 1st downs is just a stupid analogy. Keep the sports separate!

The Ugly

Oh, this would definitely be my gall bladder, which I found out that I'm going to have to have removed because I have gall stones. I meet with a surgeon on Monday and will hopefully be able to set a surgery date at that point. The sooner the better, please. Fortunately, it's normally a laproscopic outpatient surgery. I know I'll feel much better once it's gone (I've been having pain for about a month now, but I think I've had related issues for years), but this does not fit into my resolution list for 2009! The toughest thing for me has been trying to find things eat that will not set off an attack - I know greasy foods is a big no-no (yeah, just stab the southern girl) and I fear that I will grow weary of grilled chicken quickly - I know some of y'all must have had this issue - what are some food recommendations until I can have the surgery? The only other thing that is driving me nuts is that I'm a planner and I want to get everything prepared from a work and Relay perspective so others can handle while I'm out, but I don't know a date yet, so I CAN'T PLAN!!! Those of you who really know me, really get this one.
Some silver linings to the whole thing (because that does fit into my resolution list): getting to spend time with my wonderful Mom (who will be coming down to be my nurse during recovery), already losing 8 pounds since Christmas because my stomach doesn't tolerate food well (since I need to lose anyway and I've identified the issue - who cares?), planning to catchup on my reading and DVR viewing during my recovery time, and by having the ultrasound that found the gall stones, I also found out about another condition I have that can/needs to be managed by diet and exercise before it turns into something much worse. As Oprah would say, the gall stones are the brick because I wasn't listening to God's whispers.

Winter Weather Catastrophe 2009

Thought I'd dust off this post from last year...It seems only appropriate for tonight...

We interrupt our regularly scheduled blog to bring you a special report on the Winter Weather Catastrophe of '09. Everyone in the Charlotte area - quick! The weatherman has predicted a trace of snow and ice for our area tonight! Run, do not walk, to the grocery store! You must grab your obligatory loaf of bread and gallon of milk before the stores run out! Oh, could you please just leave me a little bit of milk, though - I'm legitimately almost out of milk and would be buying it regardless of what the meteorologist says. Explain this to me, because I've never figured it out. What good will milk do you if the electricity goes? I guess you could stick it outside to keep cold, but ick! The bread, I get, but milk? Ehhhh.

Oh yeah, and make sure you put the chains on your tires....We wouldn't want you to go sliding around I-77 on that trace of snow. That can create really dangerous driving conditions. (A special note to our northern transplants: while we warmly welcome y'all to our humble abode - seriously, we don't know how to drive in winter weather. Yes, we may slightly overreact to a single snowflake, but you don't really have to go speeding by us in your 4WD going "See ya suckers!" Can't we all just play nicely?)

Lowes and Home Depot have reported that they are running out of plywood to board up....Oh, sorry, wrong season, wrong storm! I've already mentioned that Kelly of Kelly's Korner gave birth to baby Harper. Continue to pray for them. Harper is still in critical condition but didn't have to have the bypass that they thought she would.

I need your help - again! This time, I need some advice. My church is starting up two new young adult Sunday School Classes. I received an informal (not from a church staff person) email today and this is how the two groups were described:
-Young Families (I think that's self-explanatory)
-Pairs and Spares (for couples without children and singles)
Now, to be fair, I'm not positive if these will be the "official" names of the classes.

Here's where my problem lies - I don't like being referred to as a Spare. It makes me feel as if I'm some spare part lying around. As I've mentioned before, I have to make a very conscious effort to put my trust and faith in God in the love arena. While I completely trust that I'll be led in the right path for me, I have a hard time where the waiting is concerned. I'm learning how to deal with that and handle it much better than I used to, but I also don't feel like I've made an active choice to be single either.

I guess I feel that church should be a place where we build each other up in Christ and I don't feel that using that term is in that spirit.

So, question is...am I being too sensitive about this?
