Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to the end of your Wednesday and miraculously my 2nd post in a month!  Again, going totally random here....

• Had a fabulous time in N'awlins!!!  Post on that plus our outcome to come in a separate post:)
• I'm becoming a total Pinterest addict!!!  My user name is sweetmagtea if you'd like to follow me.  I'd love to follow any of my readers (those of you left), so please connect or comment if you have a profile.
• I started classes tonight for this semester.  And here we go again . . .
• I'm seriously considering signing up for Financial Peace University.  I've heard great things about it.  Has anyone taken it and have any advice or feedback?  I've already found some cute cash envelopes via a great blog called A Bowl Full of Lemons.
• If you haven't watched this week's episode of Glee, watch it immediately!  It is totally funny and sweet! Can't wait for next week's MJ episode!

So apparently it's time for my yearly check-in...hee hee...

Can't believe it's been that long since I've posted.  Oh well, life flies when you are having fun!

So let's see if I can summarize 2011 in a few words...
Work stunk...work got better...bye Oprah...hello Oprah...iPod touch - love...iPhone - love more...iPad - love even more...love you Gran, miss you...school...more school...break from school...weird illnesses...can't say i'm sad to see 2011 go

So, here's some other random thoughts and news that are crowding my mind:

• Literally just discovered Pinterest this week.  OMG!  Heaven!  Still don't have my invite yet, so I can't pin, but I can't wait!
• I'm heading to New Orleans this week to co-present a paper that I wrote for school in an international competition.  My co-authors and I are 1 of six finalists.  So we work a bit, then we will party!  I'm a NOLA virgin, so I'm super excited!
• Words with Friends...nifty!
• Vera Bradley stores are having a super sale...I snagged a stadium blanket, a notebook, and a new bag for school.
• No-No - has anyone tried it?  Is it worth it?

I think that's my randomness for now.  I must get ready for brunch with my friend, K.  Yay!

In the meantime, I hope the new year has started well for everyone and brings many blessings for each of you!!  Happy 2012!!!

Splendid, Just Splendid!

I saw The King's Speech last night and in the words of the film, it was "SPLENDID"!  I don't normally get to see Oscar nominated movies prior to Oscar night, but it will be fun to watch this year and have a movie to root for.

Of course, it will be interesting to see all of the fashion.  

Today has been a lazy day trying to recover from a sinus infection and I still have a splitting headache.  Tomorrow will be a study day - oh yes, haven't shared some of my news over the past year AND one of the major reasons I've been absent.  I am currently in my second semester of grad school getting my MBA.  I LOVE it - it's such a refreshing and stimulating break from my normal work routine.  Since midterms are in a week and a half, the next several days will be study overload, so bear with me if I'm a little more silent.  I will be back this time, though!

My Top 5 Excuses for Not Posting

Happy 2010!!! I hope everyone had a great holiday! I'm looking forward to fabulous things for 2010!!!

Here's what I've been up to the past few months....

1. Work - Well, our busy season is finally over and I can breath a sigh of relief. Lots of late nights and lots of long days. Now it's just a little bit slower till around August. I'm very thankful to have a job though.

2. A Sprained Ankle - Fell down the stairs, sprained my ankle, on crutches for about a week, then physical therapy. Getting better:)

3. Facebook - What a time sucker! Yes, I am an addict of Mafia Wars.

4. eBay - I spent a lot of time doing Christmas shopping and selling some of my purses. :D

5. The Best Excuse of All! - Meet my sweet new baby, Georgia Mae! I adopted her on Halloween from Carolina Poodle Rescue (http://www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/). She's a 10 year old yorkiepoo and has a few health issues but I can't imagine life without my girl.
